.Jennifer Starr is a global creative consultancy specializing in full-service casting and talent support.

For nearly three decades, Starr has redefined beauty, shaped cultural narratives, and pushed the boundaries of casting—creating the new American icon.

A pioneer of the street-casting movement in the 1990s, she played a defining role in the era’s most iconic campaigns, launching the careers of some of the world’s most successful models. As a creative partner, Starr seamlessly connects talent and brands, bringing an unmatched instinct for cultural relevance and an eye for raw, authentic storytelling.

She began her career with Bruce Weber, casting all of his advertising and editorial shoots throughout the ’90s, including landmark campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Versace. Starr’s aesthetic—deeply attuned to the soul behind the face—was a perfect match for Weber’s vision, reinforcing her lifelong devotion to narrative-driven casting. Under his mentorship, she launched the careers of Tyson Beckford, Bridget Hall, and Gisele Bündchen for Ralph Lauren’s campaigns, maintaining a close partnership with the brand for over two decades, casting runway shows and advertising.

Starr’s influence extended to Calvin Klein, who entrusted her to cast his fragrance, jeans, and underwear campaigns—introducing "real people" alongside emerging and celebrity talent. Sought out by Steven Meisel and Annie Leibovitz for the honesty of her vision, she became a trusted force behind some of the most recognizable faces in beauty and fashion, casting for Marc Jacobs, Jil Sander, D&G, The GAP, and the world’s leading beauty brands.

While her expertise is deeply rooted in American culture, Starr’s reach is global. For two decades, she shaped the coveted Pirelli Calendar, first called upon by Richard Avedon, and continued to collaborate with the world’s most celebrated photographers.

Now splitting her time between Upstate New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, Starr draws inspiration from nature, water, and movement—fueling her passion for casting movement artists in both commercial and special projects.
